Music & Musings
VIOL. 1
I am by no means a music aficionado, I do have a huge appreciation for the value music offers. It’s a mood changer, an emotion evoker and a vibrator of energy. Go to a live show of any genre and at some point every individual there becomes part of the oneness of the moment.
As a yoga teacher I regularly put together playlists for my classes and as a yoga student chanting is a big part of my personal practice. Practicing vinyasa to music is a tool that helps me truly feel the movements in my body and influences the pace. Chanting is one way to put my own vibrations of love out into the universe.
This has been a big year for me. It’s the first year that I haven’t had any other sort of job except teaching yoga. And this is the first year I am taking a step toward my goal of wintering where it is warm. For the first time in a long time, my whole life feels in flow.
Check out this beautiful meditation to music by A Soul Called Joel below. I’ve had it on repeat for a while as my morning mantra. As we head towards the new year, may you find your flow. I am so thankful you are part of mine.
